Are You Listening to Me?

Exhibition by Lindsey Maestri and Cody Arnall at Terminal 136

The two-person exhibition, Are You Listening to Me? examines the unspoken influences sharing a life together can have on the creative process. Collaborating for years, both in work and in life, Lindsey Maestri and Cody Arnall have moved across state-lines five times, lived in eight homes together, while never sharing a studio. Are You Listening to Me? uses the gallery space as a vehicle to explore the dialog between their use of human and animal bodies as subject matter and themes of life and death in their work. The exhibition will feature a number of sculptures created individually by the duo—with Maestri’s pieces based mainly on craft materials while Arnal incorporates digital projection, light, and sound.
