“Cry Terror” Solo Exhibition Opening Reception
July 2, 2021 7:00 pm - July 2, 2021 11:00 pm
I am so excited to announce that the Featured Artist for the month of July at Creative Eye is the multi-talented, Cry Terror! We will be hosting an Opening Reception for her Solo Exhibition this coming First Friday, July 2nd from 7pm-11pm!
About The Exhibition –
Get ready to feast your eyes on the strange and unusual works by Crystal Terror. Each work of art is original and straight from a brain that is jam packed with filing cabinets and 24/7 channel surfing. These visual concepts are emotional interpretations of anxiety, sadness, and imperfection. It may be nightmarish or even hilarious to some, but you should come and see for yourself. The best part of it all is that everything is haunted.
About The Artist –
Crystal Duron transformed herself into Crystal Terror after High School when she continued creating Horror Art while attending San Antonio College. Her artwork was showcased at local punk shop, Dirt Cheap Distro. She then completed Beauty School and specialized in Alternative hairstyles and crazy color. In between her Hairdressing career, she actively painted and sold her artwork at First Fridays.
In 2014 Crystal and her partner, Josh Terror opened Toxic Salon. She has displayed and sold her art at Toxic Salon for years and has taken part in multiple group exhibitions in San Antonio. Some of the exhibitions she participated in were “The Color of Blind”, “Grim Manor Gallery” “Scary Stories Art Exhibit”, “Catacomb Saints”, “Mad Monster Gallery” and “Children Of The Night Gallery”.
This month, a portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will be donated to The Rape Crisis Center. We both hope that you all can make it out to the Opening Reception. If you miss it, the exhibit will run through to July 31st and be available to view by appointment and upcoming gallery hours (TBD).
