About The Artist & Exhibition –
Lacy Long has been a photographer for about 17 years. She started when she was living in Levelland, TX. She started taking photos at shows then moved to boudoir and portraits. Lately, she’s been working on her portrait work. They are very different from just you’re average portrait! A lot of her work is bit dark. She enjoys working with low light and she loves doing Horror/Spooky/Creepy photoshoots. She also builds sets for these shoots. She puts a lot of work into every shoot that she does, whether it’s indoor or outdoor.
So, she was very thankful when Karina (Creative Eye’s Owner & Curator) asked her to do an exhibition at her gallery! She hopes that you all enjoy this exhibit!
Since Karina donates a portion of the proceeds of each month’s exhibition to a charity, nonprofit or cause – Lacy is choosing NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
The reason she’s choosing this organization is not only that she struggles with depression and anxiety in her everyday life, but she knows there are other folks who have that same struggle. Mental health is very important to her and her family. Unfortunately they know the pain of losing a loved one due to suicide. If anyone is out there struggling with anxiety, depression, stress whatever it maybe – please reach out and talk to someone and if you don’t have anyone to talk you can always reach out to her to lend a listening ear.
