“Join me for a new installation of artwork in the infamous & now defunct Citgo/SunGlo gas station at 1203 S. Alamo. The first use of the space since its demise last year, and a longtime daydream of mine to take over, I’m thrilled to have the chance to occupy it for a short time.
Hail storms, Calcium Sulfate, crystal clusters, erased portraits, red lasers, circle dancing, sod, litost, and pyramids are just some of the things fascinating me lately, and in some cases, again.” — Justin Parr, Artist and Director at Flight Gallery, Artist in Residence at Hot Wells
All work will be available for sale as part of a silent one-night
bidding process. Please inquire for details upon arrival.
“It takes so little, so infinitely little, for a person to cross the
border beyond which everything loses meaning: love, convictions, faith, history. Human life — and herein lies its secret — takes place in the immediate proximity of that border, even in direct contact with it; it is not miles away, but a fraction of an inch.”
― Milan Kundera, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting
