Occupy Lone Star will exhibit a mix of multi-disciplinary, new media art and conceptual curiosities. Works will include multimedia installations followed by live performances. Using individual and collaborative works, these interdisciplinary artists will take on cultural topics, environmental reconfigurations, and personal narratives through actions of ritual, duration, structure and disruption. Some mature content may be present during some performances. Parental discretion is advised.

Between 6 and 7:30 pm, installation and duration-based works will be exhibited throughout the space. Beginning at 7:30 pm, there will be a series of scheduled live performances featured.

The UTSA New Media Collective is headed by Assistant Professor Mark McCoin and includes advanced undergraduate and graduate students from the UTSA Department of Art and Art History. Students in the collective explore the integration of video performance, movement, sculpture, sound performance , and any combination of space-time creativity they wish to experiment with, to create individualized works.
