July 5, 2018 6:00 pm - July 5, 2018 9:00 pm

Taylor Maupin’s uses personal, reoccuring dreams and blurred memories to create her work. Once Upon A Time is an installation in which the viewer is invited to immerse themselves in a domestic setting. The exhibition focuses on childhood trauma and how a person is affected throughout their lifetime. In her approach, Maupin forces the viewer to ask questions about issues such as mental illness, coping mechanisms, sexual abuse, and violence. Once Upon A Time features a variety of media from ceramics to found objects. Visitors are invited to engage with the space and become voyeurs into this world.

The opening reception of Taylor Maupin’s exhibition Once Upon A Time will be at Terminal 136 on Thursday, July 5th from 6pm until 9pm. Terminal 136 will be open First Friday, July 6th from 6pm until 9pm as well.
