ABOUT THIS EVENT:

This poetry workshop/ceremonia facilitated by poet Viviana la Diosa. The workshop centers and welcomes Black indigenous women of color, non gender conforming people and their allies. This poetry workshop/ceremonia engages with the healing power of dreams and poetry.

Registration is free and community will enjoy free snacks and drinks.

  • 6 pm to 7pm

Community altar setting + Reception

*Community is encouraged to wear white or whatever colors make them feel sacred, powerful, or sensual. Community will be provided with offerings to leave such as flowers,coins,cigars,water,fruit to leave but community is encouraged to please whatever they would like to add to the community altar. Ex. Photos of loved ones, agua florida, elixir of Oshun.

  • 7:05pm to 8pm

Group check in + grounding in dreams

*Community will engage in a circle group check in followed by the reading of “Cultivating a Healing Dream Practice” by ATAVA GARCIA SWIECICKI and Lara Medina to ground community in dreams. ( printed chapters will be provided)
